I got my voodoo doll pincushion!!!

Here is my fabulous pincushion package!! I think waiting is the hardest part and today it finally came(I say finally because I'm not very good at waiting)!!!

My pincushion is a gnome and I will love sticking him with pins!!! On his belly is the word kill, which at first I thought was done with beads but then, discovered they were pins!!!! I love all the little tuck ins and my daughter Laney already tried to "borrow" the witch pail..."just for 3 minutes". Three minutes in Laney-speak could be as long as forever!!! Well Sarah Jonas with the awesome name, I LOVE it!

My mommy mummy head

We at the Koeneman house love Halloween, maybe more than Christmas...if it wasn't for the presents...or so my kids say. Here is my mommy mummy head. She was a styrofoam head with a few holes in the cranium and really bad blue eyeliner and eyeshadow. I found her at a thrift store for $2.99. I took a sheet ruined by the red kool-aid monster and ripped it into strips and made my own modge podge by mixing 2 parts Elmer's glue and 1 part water. We LOVE her!!!!

Here is my next creepy project a sheet, a stuffed tiger, and a mannequin torso...

It's definitely after midnight...

Well, my voodoo priestess pin cushion is ready to set sail, along with some carefully crafted tuck-ins. I loved this swap!!! She is shipping with a voodo doll wrist pin cushion, a ghostly table runner, and a cutesy owl bag. This was once again a labor of love. I think I may have a hard time letting go of this package... again. For me, everything does happen after midnight, my floors got mopped and my swap is finished!!!

Voodoo doll sneak peak

She is a Day of the Dead inspired voodoo doll...does that make her a Santeria doll...I'm not really sure, I'll have to look into that. I think I will paint the inside of the flower buttons red to make her look more like a sugar skull. I'm EMBRACING ARIZONA !!!

I'm also working on an owl tuck in, not sure if it should be on the bag or stuffed? Any ideas? I made the pattern for the owl myself by looking at about a million owls on Pinterest, and tracing a lot of circular shapes from my kitchen. If I leave it on the bag maybe it needs a moon. I just can't decide!

My new project

Ok, this started with a 1/3 of a yard and a 1/2 of a yard of fabric. I saw this on ksl studio 5 and it changed my life! It is so quick and it looks sooo cute!

Then it turns into this!!! I just added two cute little bows, hope my swap partner likes it!!!

I did get a little more decorating done...

I LOVE HALLOWEEN.!!!!!
